The RamSpecTM Raman Instrument, being the most compact instrument in its class, can be easily transported from one location to another, yet it is equipped with a high performance Raman spectral engine. Aided by a 2048 element CCD array detector thermoelectrically cooled to less than –20 °C, the RamSpecTM delivers full spectral coverage (300 to 3200 cm-1) with 5 cm-1 resolution. In addition to the standard 785 nm excitation laser wavelength, the RamSpecTM can also be integrated with a 532 nm or 1064 nm excitation source, thus
offering unprecedented flexibility and versatility in a laboratory instrument.
Features
- The standard RamSpecTM is equipped with a
785 nm laser stabilized for Raman spectroscopy.
Output power:>500 mW. Linewidth:
0.1 nm FWHM typical. 532 nm and 1064 nm
lasers are also available with the RamSpecTM
system.
- At the heart of the RamSpecTM is a custom made
transmissive VPG that delivers unsurpassed
optical throughput. The spectrograph offers
full spectral coverage from 300 to 3200 cm-1.
The detector is a 2048 pixel CCD array for 532/
785 nm excitation, which is thermoelectrically
cooled to –20 °C , thus drastically reducing
dark currents and delivering superior signal
to noise ratio. For 1064 nm excitation the
detector is an InGaAs array thermoelectrically
cooled to below 50 °C , offering spectral
coverage and signal to noise ratios previously
only available from FT systems.
- The RamSpecTM runs on BaySpec’s Micro 20/20
software that has an intuitive, streamlined
user interface and can output data in .txt, .csv,
or .spc format. Baseline correction function
is intelligently built in, which greatly facilities
reduction in fluorescence interference and
accounts for drift in background. Additionally,
Spec 20/20 offers a suite of other useful
features such as peak identification and
integration, overlay of spectra, and arithmetic
Operations.
